I offer Individual Counselling, Couple Counselling, and Accredited Supervision.
Sessions & Fees
Below you can find information on the types of counselling and supervision sessions I provide, and the associated fees.
Remote Working
Remote working means I can work with either individuals or couples, via a Video Conferencing Platform, normally Zoom or Skype.
The benefits of accessing therapy sessions remotely are:-
Staying safe from pandemics such as Covid, whether you are self-isolating or just wanting to social distance yourself.
No traveling cost’s or travelling time to and from sessions which can be disruptive to busy schedules or work.
Clients with health or mobility issues can access the same personal level and quality of service as face to face clients receive.
You can access therapy whilst staying in the comfort of your own home, office, university or whilst travelling / working away from home.
For clients with social anxiety or other psychological issues, remote working can help alleviate some of the stress and anxiety associated with face to face work. Whilst not for everyone, having therapy sessions remotely has proven to be an accessible, efficient, safe and effective way of working.
Initial Individual session free, thereafter the fee per session is £60
For Couple sessions the fee is £70 per session
Testimonial
"When lockdown happened and Victoria said all her counselling session’s would be over Zoom I was dreading it as I didn’t think it would work for me. I agreed to give it a go and see how it went…. Four months on I have decided I won’t be going back to face to face sessions, I am staying with video sessions, because I don’t have to factor in travelling time and I can now fit my session in during my lunch hour at work."

Individual Counselling
Individual Counselling involves working on a one-to-one basis. I work with teenagers and adults. Firstly we would meet for an initial session (free of charge) in order to discuss your concerns and issues that you may wish to bring to counselling. During this session we will discuss any questions you may have and work out the best way forward, should you wish to embark on counselling sessions.
Sessions take place weekly, on the same day and time, although in certain circumstances sessions can be tailored to meet your individual needs, for example if you work a shift pattern. Sessions last for 50 minutes and I ask that you commit to attend on a regular basis, although breaks for holidays and personal circumstances can be negotiated.
I feel choosing the right counsellor for you is a very important and personal choice. Therefore I offer a free initial session.
Initial session free, thereafter the fee charged is £60 per session
Couple Counselling
Couple counselling is for any two people within a relationship. For example married partners, civil partners, same sex couples, couples, parent/child or siblings, (children are required to be teenagers plus).
Couple counselling is useful and effective in dealing with, and, resolving issues that arise within the relationship. By working together we aim to explore difficult issues that cause tension and arguments. We also explore boundaries and power base issues. We look at how outside influences and personal histories can affect the stability of the relationship. Through our work together we aim to improve communication and understanding between the couple in order to encourage growth and fulfilment within the relationship.
Couple counselling can sometimes be about the ending of one relationship and the beginning of another. Here the couple is encouraged to work through any outstanding issues and unresolved feelings, allowing the move towards separation to be conducted in an adult and amicable manner. A swift and peaceful transition is vital if children are caught up in the separation of their parents.
Couple counselling is NOT about apportioning blame onto any one individual. Any issues or problems that arise within the couple relationship belong to the relationship. Couple counselling is about understanding, communication, resolution and growth. Couple sessions last for one hour.
£70 per couple session
Accredited Supervision
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor 2013 - 2025 (Pre SCoPEd). I hold a certificate in Supervision and offer Integrative and Person-Centred Supervision to student and qualified counsellors. My Continuing Professional Development training has provided me with the knowledge and ability to work with and supervise, using Psychodynamic/TA/CBT approaches, alongside my Person-Centred orientation.
I have 18 plus years of experience within my own Private Practice, where I have worked with a wide range of issues offering counselling to individual clients.
I also have over 16 years of experience working with couples, and since 2010, I have been supervising couple therapy sessions.
Experience has taught me that one of the most important elements of Supervision is the Supervisory Relationship. Just as in counselling the development of a healthy relationship is paramount to our work together. Therefore, as a Supervisor I strive to offer a safe, non-judgemental, supportive environment, which facilitates the development of our relationship and enables self-reflection, growth and learning for both Supervisee and self.
I am bound by, and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. Should areas arise within our work concerning boundaries, professional conduct or any ethical issues, I will work with you to reach resolutions in a clear and appropriate way guided by the above Code of Ethics.
1 – 1 Supervision
I offer 1 – 1 Supervision to both students and qualified Counsellors. I cover supervision for Counsellors working with individual clients and supervision for Counsellors offering relationship counselling for couples.
Testimonials
"Victoria has been my supervisor for 12 years. I'm not sure if I would have qualified without her support. Nothing is too much trouble, and I have always felt very supported on my counselling journey. She is always on the end of the phone if I need her. I started private practice myself in 2014, and I firmly believe without Victoria's encouragement and belief in me and don't think this would have been possible, at such an early stage in my career. Victoria has referred clients to me especially in the early days, to help me. I have learnt so much from her over the years. I would recommend her to everyone, but especially new counsellors who need that extra confidence boost to get them started. Amazing supervisor!! Her amazing knowledge about couple work has really helped my own practice."
Tracy Bacon (1-1 Supervisee)
"I feel fortunate to have had Victoria as my supervisor for over 3 years and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any therapist seeking skilled, attuned, and inspiring guidance.
She has a good depth of clinical knowledge, a consistent ethical grounding, which has been very helpful in some challenging situations. My vulnerability has always been met with respect, she is able to balance support with gentle challenge — inviting me to explore blind spots, whilst also reminding me of my strengths.
Victoria has helped me grow not only as a therapist but as a reflective practitioner. Her feedback is always thoughtful and constructive. I always leave our sessions feeling more grounded, empowered, and inspired to deepen my work with clients, but most importantly for me, she has a good sense of humour."
Vince Gibbons (1-1 Supervisee)
"Victoria has been my supervisor for around twelve years now and we have worked together on a regular monthly basis. I have always found it easy to talk to Victoria and because of her many years of experience as a Counsellor, has a great deal of knowledge to share. Nothing is too much trouble for her and should I need to call her or email her to ask for advice, she always responds promptly, so I always feel supported by her. Working in private practice can feel quite isolated sometimes and having a close relationship with a supervisor is therefore extremely important."

Couple work Supervision
I have a real passion for my both couple work and supervising couple work, I would like to share my passion and years of experience with fellow professionals working with couples.
Group Supervision for Couple Counsellors
Because of my passion for couple work I have set up and run online supervision groups for Counsellors working with Couples. Couple work can be very complex, difficult and although rewarding, for those in private practice it can feel lonely. Three years ago I set the groups up to offer both support and supervision to Couple Counsellors. Each group has its own WhatsApp group where ongoing support can be given and received between our monthly group sessions.
The groups have a maximum of four members and run for two hours. Each member will receive one hour supervision time towards their monthly supervision requirement.
Aims of the group
- To offer ongoing support for counsellors working with couples
- To supervise ongoing couple work
- To explore issues and challenges around working with couples
- To share knowledge and experiences with fellow professionals
- To share strategies and interventions, whilst exploring new avenues and directions for working with our couples
- To offer support and understanding around boundaries and ethical issues arising in couple work
Groups are open to Counsellors who are new to or experienced in Couple Work.
Due to the complexity of couple work some extra CPD couple/relationship training is required post individual counselling qualification, prior to joining a group.
I offer a free initial 45 minute session to all Supervisees so you can ask any questions and get a feel of how it is to work with me. If you require any further information regarding Supervision, or my fees, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Testimonials
"Victoria has been my supervisor for almost 2 years and I am also a member of one of the supervision groups she leads.
Victoria is an amazing supervisor. She is very supportive and has provided me with a safe, non-judgemental space to explore openly and reflect honestly on my work as a couple’s counsellor. Victoria is extremely knowledgeable and combines encouragement and support with professional challenge in a way which has enabled me to grow and flourish as a practitioner. Victoria has worked with me to overcome some difficult and complex challenges in my work and has offered steadfast reassurance and pragmatic, practical advice when I have been struggling.
In the supervision group, Victoria holds a warm non-judgemental and encouraging space. She is a great facilitator and fosters a genuine sense of mutual respect and collaboration within the group. I have learnt so much from Victoria and the other group members. I leave each session feeling reinvigorated, supported and grounded in my work."
Vicky Aykroyd (Supervisee Group and 1-1)
"Victoria’s reflections, gentle challenging and guidance really are priceless. Not only do I have a thriving private practice, her support has also meant I’ve had the confidence to pass and gain accreditation, train as a couple counsellor and embark on becoming a supervisor myself. I’m incredibly grateful and thankful for Victoria."
Samantha Helen (Supervisee Group and 1-1)
"I have worked with Victoria as my supervisor for 2 years. The sessions are always very stimulating and interesting. Victoria manages to be containing and holding of the group, providing support, advice and lots of practical help when needed. The thing I like best though is the freedom to be yourself - whatever you feel, whatever your theoretical background, there is appreciation and space for your thoughts and ideas. The atmosphere is totally non- judgemental which is all down to Victoria’s positivity and high regard for each individual practitioner."
